Wonderwall Inc.

Wonderwall has one of the coolest websites I have seen in a while. Its unique layout and user interface is clean and fresh. Check out the website for your self.

Wonderwall is an interior design firm established by Masamichi Katayama. Its Portfolio includes commercial spaces such as retail spaces, restaurant and bars, as well as office showrooms and building complexes that are distinctly unique in design and yet attentive to function.

Jekyll & Hyde

Jekyll & Hyde is a design and communication studio founded in 1996 by Marco Molteni and Margherita Monguzzi.

They design everything from logos to brand identity, from art direction to packaging, type design, web design, and video. Their website is very impressive, and you can view their work all the way back to 1996.

They come up with a lot of creative design solutions. Their website is definitely worth checking out.

Typo Soccer

At last typographers have a sport to be excited about!

This amazing video is the result of a Konstfack (a swedish college of arts, craft, and design) 3d type workshop.

Glenn Ligon

Glenn Ligon is an American conceptual artist whose work explores race, language, desire, sexuality, and identity. Much of his work is done through strong demonstrations of typography and space.

His work with lights is beautiful and simple. His use of type and space to create impact in a simple statement is amazing.

And his print media is not a social standard of perfection but still has beauty.

Image Transfers

Theses are some image transfers I have been working on for a project. I will be continuing to work with this medium and hope to soon have a successful complete piece.

The process is all a game of chance and looking for happy accidents that happen.
I enjoy the dimples and rips and distorted lines that happen. It makes each
piece unique and interesting.

The lines tend to cone out with a strict but organic style. Color can easily change
the whole feel of the piece. The exploration and chance that has to be taken with this process is both rewarding and frustrating.

All these images are made by me, and are mine.

Raincoat

A great raincoat design that is both practical and beautiful.

The article from notcot.com says "they use heavy TPU/ Urethane to provide structure to the 100% waterproof outerwear pieces using heat sealed technic for the seams". This makes the coat light weight, not over heating, and perfect for rainy california weather. The jacket is ideal for more then the california climate. In maryland the weather
in the summer is always humid with a chance of rain making this a
ideal jacket for them as well.

The coats come in three impeccable designs and two colors(tan, and burnt grey).

To read more on the coats and to see more images head over Here!

Swissted.com is a website dedicated to swiss design. The work is simple and beautiful and I will probably post more images from this website as time goes on.

Periodic Table

Shoe Study

In a class of mine we are working on designing shoes and this is a test/study of how to assemble a shoe. Since making this test shoe I have changed my idea for my final product. I still find this study to be charming and simple, maybe later on I will expand on this idea.

This shoe was cut from a simple template provided by teachers at VCU

The toe is canvas, the brown is thickly painted paper to represent leather, and the details are done with braided hay. The shoe is assembles by sewing and glue.
